With ‹Fliegender Wechsel› the legendary Zurich artist Walter Pfeiffer presents a cross-section of his work with photographs from 1978 to the present. In his still lifes, landscapes and portraits Pfeiffer celebrates his search for beauty and glamour – always with a wink and a deeper meaning. In doing so, he confidently shuffles between the visual languages of high art and trivial advertising, staging clever and classic images of beauty and happiness with simple means, constantly in a melancholy knowledge of artificiality and play. Stylistically confident, associative and outrageously erotic, he adds his pictures to an encyclopedia of longing.
