Art is not always conceived as being for eternity. Colours fade, materials dis integrate, important information on the work is lost. Every collection has works that raise questions and tell exciting stories. And the context in which the art is shown always plays a role. Are sketches and documentations of actions artworks? What about ephemera in the form of invitation cards that are only intended to be used once? So, when and where is an artwork an artwork?
